Cloven
Tongues Of Fire
"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all
with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven
as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were
sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and
it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and
began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." -
Acts 2:1-4 KJV
Find a Spirit Filled Church
Since the remergence of Pentecostalism in the early
1900's, The baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in other
tongues has crossed virtually every denominational barrrier. Including Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopalians, Methodists,
Southern Baptists and many many more.
There are individual
churches and believers that have receieved and are receiving (many in
secret) the Baptism of the Holy Spirit across most of the denominational
spectrum including many in the interdenominational spectrum, so denominational
differences need not necessarily be an issue to the individual seeking. However,
the gifts of the Holy Spirit (specifically speaking in other tongues) are
unfortunately still not officially embraced by all denominations and can be met
with disapproval, disdain and (in a strange twist of irony) in some
cases even result in a Spirit filled Christian being expelled from a
fellowship of non-Spirit filled Christian believers.
For many, it is much
easier to seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and enjoy the
benefits of this spiritual gift in an environment where it is
encouraged..
The largest Spirit-filled denomination here in the United States
is the Assemblies of God.
Please take the time to prayerfully
consider going wherever it is you believe you can draw closest to the Lord.

you to go.
