Cloven Tongues Of Fire

"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." - Acts 2:1-4 KJV

                         My Dear Brother or Sister in Christ,
                                                 
             We live in a day where people are desparately seeking to not just believe in God, but to know God in a deep, intimate and personal way. Many Christians are tired of religion and religious traditions that are lacking heart and substance and long for the fresh move of God in their lives.

Consider what Jesus told the woman at the well:

10 Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water." 11 The woman said to him, "Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock." 13 Jesus said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." 15 The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water."  - John 4-10-15


The simple truth that people need to hear is that "there is more!" Much of the church has become so accommodating that many ministers will not share about the reality of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the deeper life that God wants all of us to enter into for fear of offending. I believe this actually breaks God's heart because God has so much more for us.
